Lumineers are a type of porcelain veneers made from a special, very hard porcelain. This allows Lumineers to be much thinner than regular veneers, about as thick as a contact lens.
The main appeal of lumineers is that, since they are so thin, the teeth don’t have to be “ground down” any, and they can be placed directly over unprepared teeth without being too bulky.
Lumineers are not meant for all patients so ask the dentist if they are right for you.
