This year’s event will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016.

Sealants, for example, are a great way to protect your teeth against cavities and tooth decay.
Have you noticed that your gums are red, swollen, or bleed easily when you brush and floss your teeth? If so, you may have gingivitis,the earliest stage of gum disease. Gingivitis is reversible when it is treated properly, but can progress to a more serious condition called periodontitis. If gum disease is allowed to progress untreated, it can lead to pockets forming around the teeth and gums that become infected, and eventually destroy supportive tissue and bone.

Early intervention is the best defense against periodontitis. Most tooth loss in people over age 35 is from Periodontal (Gum) Disease. It is essential that a periodontal exam is regularly performed. A periodontal exam includes an exam of the teeth, gums and x-rays of the underlying bone structure. If gum disease is indicated we can generally perform a non-surgical course of action that is highly effective and relatively painless.
